    Other notes:
    Inspired by the historical events of the fight to freedom by American slaves, I made this sampler quilt. The blocks were chosen to help tell the story of their remarkable journey. A friend and I each made a quilt as our winter 2009 project while in Florida. The fabrics were chosen during a shop-hop trip to the Lancaster area in Pennsylvania in octobre of 2008. How fitting that the fabrics started out in the U.S. and ended up in a quilt in Canada.
