    I Latvian : #2 of approx 8 bedcovers, made aprox 1969 by Roberts grandmother, Valda Berzinis nee Kiekeris b. 27 May 1887 in Vaidava, died 1974, Montreal at the age of 87. Roberts mother Astra was one of Valda's 3 daughters, with Elga Cops & Ilze snikert
    Other notes:
    Valda came to Canada from Latvia in August 1962 after the occupying soviet union began to Auon the Elderly and/or ill to emigrate, in exchange for monetary "Compensation of" (In the case) $10000, so that they could join their families that had escaped the atrocities WWII. One of approx. 8 quilts made au in the same style from reused clothing one two known remaining quilts. Backing table cloth or bought xardact . Red wool from Roberts prefect jacket (west hill H.S.)
